If I could buy them, I would be on cloud nine!

（もしこれが買えたとしたら、スッゴク幸せなのになあ！）
　海外通販を試みるが、欲しかったアイテムが国外送付不可ということで買えなかった。すっっごく残念な気持ちを、昨日レッスンでならいたての表現 "be on cloud nine" を使って表現してみた。

• "be on cloud nine" で「スッゴク幸せ(dreamy happy)」という意味。
  • For a few days after I heard I'd got the job, I was on cloud nine.
  • The first time she kissed me, I was on cloud nine for the whole day.
  • He was on cloud nine after winning the marathon.
  • When the boss announced my promotion, I was on cloud nine!
  • Emma passed her exam last week so she is on cloud nine. I have never seen her so happy.
• "be in seventh heaven"とも。そうか、cloudだとonだけど、heavenだとinなのね。
  • Since they got married they've been in seventh heaven.
  • When he asked me to marry him, I was in seventh heaven.
  • Every time she wins a match she's in seventh heaven!
• 実際は「買えなかった」という過去の事実に反する仮定法になるので"If I could have bought them, I would have been cloud nine" が正しい表現だったかなと思う。が、喋ってて咄嗟に仮定法過去なんか出てこないーよー(--;)
