　ディズニー映画「シンデレラ」より。いじわるな継母に仕事をたくさんいいつけられたシンデレラ。いじわる猫のルシファーのおフロもいいつけられた。

• 命令形で使うこのseeは、「〜するよう取りはからう、配慮する、確実に〜する(=to make sure or check that something is done)」という使い方。簡単だけど、意外と自分じゃ使えなさそう。シンデレラの中にはけっこうこの表現がたくさんでてくる。
  • See that he keeps out of trouble, Jaq. （新入りのネズミに色々教えてあげてね、と、シンデレラ。）
  • See that every eligible maid is there! （王子に会わせるために未婚の女性を集めろ！と王様が大臣に。）
  • Please see that the lights are switched off before you leave.
  • The hotel's owners see to it that their guests are given every luxury.
  • See that the work is done.
  • See that it gets done right away.
