Nose to the grindstone!

• 意味は文脈でとれたけれど、鼻を砥石にって、痛いよ！実際はkeepを伴ってkeep one's nose to the grindstoneという形で使われるイディオムらしいんだけど、ここではnoseが動詞として使われている。keep one's nose to the grindstoneで「コツコツ一生懸命働く、休まず精をだして働く（to work hard and constantly／to continue to work very hard, without stopping／to work very hard, without stopping to rest）」という意味に。どうやら「休まず」というのがひとつのポイント？あ、それはkeepがあるからか。働く、というのは勉強する、とか、取り組む対象によって多少ニュアンスがかわる。
