　BBCドラマ「シャーロック」エピソード2 "The Blind Banker" より。銀行に残された謎のメッセージを追って、銀行員ヴァン・クーンの家にやってきたホームズとワトスン。なんとか彼の部屋に入ろうと、彼の部屋の上に住む女性にアプローチする。

• シーンを見ていればbuzz you inで家に入れるってことだというのはわかるんだけど、buzz（ハチがブンブンうなる）のニュアンスが入って「わずらわしい」って感じなのかな、と思って辞書で調べてみたら、「音をたててカギが開くような（ブザーをならして開けるような）ドアを開けて中に入れる／buzz out=外へ出す」ということで、わずらわしい、という意味合いは全然なかった。（to let (someone) go into or out of a place by using an electric device that produces a loud, low sound as it unlocks a door, gate, etc. ／to make something happen, for example make a door or gate open or close, by pressing a buzzer／to let someone in or out of a place by pressing a buzzer to open a door or gate）。
