• take upにはものすごくたくさん意味があるのだけれど、ここでは "to begin to do something" の意。初めて知った。*She worked for a TV company, then took up writing and produced a series of best-sellers. *I didn't know you smoked --when did you take it up?　*He took up the piano at the age of 45.
• 昔、The Yellow Monkeyの歌詞でとりあげた「性的に興奮させる」の意味の"turn on"（http://d.hatena.ne.jp/tiki-tiki/20040809）も出てきたのに、「turn on の（いろんな）意味わかる人いる〜？」と聞かれた時に答えが出なかったのが悔やまれる。これ答えられたらちょっと面白かったのに。
