His mind went blank.
It slipped my mind, then my mind went blank.
- I meant to go to the grocery store on the way home, but it slipped my mind.
- My birthday slipped my mind.
- I meant to buy some milk, but it completely slipped my mind.
(Oxford American Dictionary; happen, proceed, or be for a time in a specified condition /Longman online dictionary;to change in some way, especially by becoming worse than before)
- No one went hungry in our house.
- The bread's gone mouldy.(mouldy[英]=moldy/かびた)
- He went crazy and tried to kill her.
- Something went wrong.
- The fans went wild at the concert.
