 米テレビドラマシリーズ「Sex and the City」より。飼い犬がキャリーに飛びついてしまったことを詫びる家具アーチストのAidan。「ボクの犬は美人を選んで飛びつくんだ」と謝る彼に「お世辞でも嬉しいわ」とキャリー。

  • 直訳すると「あなたはあなたの褒め言葉で私がどんなに喜んだか想像もできないほどよ」。この言い回しはflatteredだけじゃなくてexcitedとか色々と使えそう。
    • You can't imagine how much I missed you!!
    • You can't imagine how happy I was.
