　英会話レッスンにて。景気の後退と紙メディアからwebメディアへの広告媒体の変遷のどちらが広告業界の現状の厳しさにつながっているか、という会話で。そのどちらもが密接なかかわり合いがあるから（relate closely）どちらとも言えない、という私の答えを聞いて、hand in handという表現を先生からもらった。

• go hand in hand (with〜)＝「(〜と)密接な関係がある」となる。hand in handの持つ「手に手をとって」っていうそのままの意味はもちろん知っていたけれど、比喩的にこういう使われ方をするのは知らなかった。（ with hands joined, esp. as a mark of affection. figurative: closely associated／ if two things go hand in hand, they are closely connected／Fig. [of two things] together, one with the other）
