• 洞窟を表す cave を"cave in"という群動詞で使うと、「〜に抗うのをやめる（to stop trying to resist or oppose something／to give in or submit to pressure／to finally stop opposing something, especially because someone has persuaded or threatened you／ to finally do what someone wants after you have been strongly opposing them）」という意味になる。（他に「落ちる、中に入り込む」という意味もある。）
• 目的語が入る時には前置詞toを伴い、"cave in to 〜"となる。
• 昔、映画「マイ・フェア・レディ」の歌詞で取り上げた"right in"という表現(04/9/29)と同じニュアンス。
