　映画「ビッグ・フィッシュ "Big Fish"」より。どのシーンか忘れたけれど、お伽話のような過去の思い出話ばかり語るお父さんの回想シーンで、若き日のお父さん（ユアン・マクレガー）が言っていたセリフ。

• 「打つ」のbeatには、「〜の理解を拒む／困惑させる」という意味がある（used to say that you do not know something or cannot understand or explain it）。いや〜、知らんかったー。例文は、It/That beats me.の主語が省略された形。Beat me!だったら「ぶって」になっちゃうね。
