• こっちの方法がダメなら、あっちの方法で…てな感じで "one way or the other/another" は「どちらにしても、どっちみち／何らかの方法で」という意味に。
  • Sooner or later we have to make up our minds one way or the other.
  • Make your mind up one way or the other.
  • They've had a week to think about it and now they must decide one way or the other.
  • It doesn't really matter to me one way or the other. (= it is not important to me which possibility is chosen)

• be going to...は確実性の高い未来、すでに決定している未来を指すので、ここでは「おまえは私に返すことになっている」＝「私が（なんとしてでも）返させる」という、カリオストロ伯爵の脅迫のニュアンスが入っている。「willは話し手の意志を表す」っていうのは英語関係の本でよく見かけるけれど、you're going toを使って逆にこちらの意志を感じさせる未来形っていうのがちょっとオオッ！と思った。
