• 以前もとりあげた（04/5/5）、後に続く名詞が被害を受ける時の前置詞 on にまつわる成句。"tell on somebody" で、「〜のことを告げ口する」という意味になる。「風とともに去りぬ」で、スカーレット・オハラの父が「母さんに告げ口する気だろう」とスカーレットに言うシーンでも使われている。 "tell A on B" で、「BのことをAに告げ口する」。（to tell someone in authority about something wrong that someone you know has done - used especially by children／to report someone's bad behavior／ to tattle on someone　※tattle：告げ口をする、秘密をもらす／to tattle to someone about someone.）
